There isn’t a lot to say to set up this set of work that can’t be covered by one simple resume entry… I was in-house film and broadcast producer/director at Saatchi & Saatchi in London for several years. I then continued to work with them, and other international advertising and marketing agencies, as a producer, director, director of photography and editor after forming my own London production company – CLAi. My agency work was concentrated around the automobile, aircraft, computing technology and banking areas.
This provided a great background in analytical creativity, achieving the ultimate quality while remaining fast and accurate, compressing complete stories into short time frames without losing impact or integrity, and working with clients and other professionals.
It was a terrific second leg to my career opener in documentary film making, completing the storytelling circle (and, of course, anything that you communicate with moving media has to be a story in some way to capture and hold a viewer’s attention).
